Susquehanna River Kayak Fishing Report (8/10/13)

I was joined by my Pennsylvania Kayak Fishing Association friends on the North Branch this morning. The bite was not the most aggresive, but I did manage to end the day with a total of 10 smallmouth bass, 1 largemouth bass, 1 walleye, 1 pumpkinseed, and 1 musky bite-off (my favorite spinner too!).

I was catching the fish on a combination of yellow spinnerbaits thrown around structure and above and below current breaks, and jigging 3.5″ Craw D’oeuvres in my favorite Susky Slayer color pattern from PowerTeam Lures. If you fish the Susquehanna, try the Susky Slayer color, you won’t regret it! It’s a green/brown color scheme that is a great crawfish soft plastic pattern.
