Several of us from the Pennsylvania Kayak Fishing Association hit another lake in Northeast PA this morning. There were definately more boats on the water today than we have seen all year. That being said, nearly half the boats were kayaks!
As for the fishing, the day was less than productive. There were a number of fish caught, but not the quantity or quality we have been catching the past few weeks. The bite was definately impacted by the rain the past few days. That being said, it was a beautiful day to be on the water!
I ended up with just two boated fish for the day, a small largemouth and a pickerel. Both hit medium sized yellow spinnerbaits. The fish were not interested in my typical soft plastic offerings.
