With the Susquehanna River levels climbing drastically overnight, my friends Frank Patla, Shawn Evans, and John Blair joined me on one of our favorite NEPA lakes. It was not one of those days to brag about. The bite was slow, and we saw very few boated fish from anyone on the water. The morning bite was nonexistant. By early afternoon you could see bass breaking the surface from time to time, but the bite had not improved much. I ended the day with four largemouth bass and a catfish.
You never know what you will see on the way to the launch. I guess someone was hungry!
My first boated fish of the day. Heck, it counts. And I actually had just lost three nice bass in roughly the same location.
