Feature Articles: SFM's Feature Articles may cover a broad range of subjects relevant to angling or related topics relevant to the Susquehanna River region. These topics include, but are not limited to: techniques, locations, conservation, and either advanced or introductory concepts. Length of Feature Article submissions is flexible, based upon subject matter and totality of issue content. Please forward topic proposals to the magazine staff prior to submission. Submissions: 700 - 1500 words
Monthly Sections: Articles covered under monthly sections will include the topics of River Fishing, Fly Fishing, Shore Fishing, and Special Topics. These topics may alternate monthly depending upon issue content. Monthly Section article content is specific to the highlighted angling concept. Monthly section articles are intended to be shorter in length than Feature Articles. Submissions: 1000 - 1100 words
Regional Articles: Regional Articles will cover techniques and fishing reports specific to regions within SFM's coverage area. These regional sections include the North Branch of the Susquehanna River, West Branch, Lower Susquehanna, and Surrounding Areas. Regional Articles are intended to be shorter in length and more specific in content than Feature Articles. Submissions: Approximately 700 words
